STEP 1: Initial consultation
During your initial consultation, our specialist will chat with you about your concerns and expectations regarding your treatment.
STEP 2: Orthodontic assessment
During your first non-obligation appointment our specialist will discuss with you treatment options available and will take photos, x-rays and impressions of your teeth to determine and advise you on the treatment most suitable for your dental problem.
STEP 3: Personalised treatment plan
During your follow-up meeting, you will be presented with your personalised treatment plan including timescales, treatment costs and payment schedules. Our specialist will explain the benefits of the treatment if there are any risks and the process in general.
STEP 4: Fitting your Damon Braces
If you decide to undergo the treatment you will have your Damon braces fitted. You may feel a little discomfort for the first couple of days. However, as Damon braces use very gentle forces to move your teeth, most patients experience little to no discomfort during the treatment.

STEP 5: Monitoring results
To make sure your treatment is progressing as planned and to alter the forces needed to align your teeth, our specialist will see you every 4-6 weeks. Because Damon braces require much fewer adjustments than conventional methods, you won’t have to plan as many visits to our practice as you would with traditional braces. The treatment time can vary and will depend on the complexity of your problem. Usually, the treatment lasts between 9 and 18 months. It’s been confirmed in studies that Damon patients had treatment times more than 6 months shorter than patients with traditional metal braces.
