What are Dermal Fillers? The science behind.
Dermal Fillers such as Restylane are made of Hyaluronic Acid, the sugar naturally occurring in our skin. Its primary function is to attract and maintain water providing deep hydration, elasticity and volume. Thanks to Hyaluronic Acid our skin looks plump and youthful.
Hyaluronic Acid also transports nutrients to the skin encouraging skin cell activity and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin fibres. This improves the overall skin quality, structure and elasticity.

When we're young our skin continually replenishes Hyaluronic Acid, but as we get older, the production of Hyaluronic Acid slows down. As a result, our face & lips lose volume, our skin elasticity, and moisture.

Fortunately thanks to dermal filler injections we can now restore lost Hyaluronic Acid and bring back a more youthful appearance.

When will I see the results
and how long will they last?
The effects are visible immediately after the treatment. They will last between 6 - 18 months. The results are also reversible in case you'd like to get back to your pre-treatment appearance.

Treatment Overview
Free Facial Aesthetics Consultation
During your initial consultation, Dr Kamil will first determine if you are suitable for the treatment with dermal fillers. He will explain benefits and risk related to the treatment. You will be able to ask questions, discuss your needs and expectations and find out whether the treatment can meet them.
Treatment day
On the day of your treatment, your makeup will have to be removed (please come "fresh-faced" if possible) and the treated area will be cleaned. If you are worried about pain or discomfort, Dr Kamil can apply a local anaesthetic.
The treatment is quick. It usually between 15 - 40 min depending on the area treated. The fillers are injected under the skin using a very thin needle, and the effects are visible immediately.
The treatment doesn't require any downtime, and you will be able to return to your normal daily activities straight away. You may have some post-injection redness, swelling or bruising that should disappear within a few hours.

After treatment
Dr Kamil will schedule a free follow up appointment 2 weeks after your treatment. This appointment is to make sure you are happy with your results and for any necessary adjustments.
Dermal fillers aftercare tips:
Do not wear make up for 12 hours following the treatment.
Do not touch or rub the treated area.
Do not have a facial beauty treatment or massage and do not expose the treated areas to strong sunlight for 2-3 days.
Avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, sunbathing, and extremes of heat or cold (e.g., sauna) for 14 days post-treatment.

If you experience swelling this should settle within a few days. To ease the discomfort, you may use cold packs on the affected areas. Bruising may appear a few days after the treatment and should also disappear shortly. If swelling, bruising or redness get worse after 3 days, please contact us immediately.
Dermal fillers FAQ's
Are dermal fillers safe?
Yes, dermal fillers are safe if administered by a trained professional. Dr Kamil only uses Hyaluronic Acid based non-permanent dermal fillers that can be quickly and easily reversed with an injection of hyaluronidase.
Are there any side effects?
As for all injection treatments, there is always a risk of side effects. However, in case of Dermal Fillers, these are usually minor and related to the injection itself. There might be a temporary (usually lasting 1-2 days) redness, bruising or swelling around the injection area. Dr Kamil will talk to you about all side effects before your treatment.
Am I a candidate for a dermal filler treatment?
Dr Kamil will assess your suitability during your free initial consultation; however, most patients can be successfully treated with Dermal Fillers. You should not undergo the treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18.
Does treatment with dermal fillers hurt?
If you are sensitive Dr Kamil can apply local anaesthetic, so you feel comfortable during the treatment.
Who can administer dermal fillers injections?
Restylane dermal fillers injections should only be administered by a trained medical professional such as a doctor, dentist or nurse.
